Explosion and Conflagration Incident

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga del Sur - Conflagration and explosion incident occurred at San Pablo Central Elementary School, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur at about 11:10 PM of May 15, 2019.

PNP personnel of San Pablo Municipal Police Station led by Police Capt. Herminigildo P Bajao Jr, Officer In-Charge, immediately responded to said place and conducted investigation.

Initial investigation disclosed that at about 11:10 PM of same date, an explosion incident transpired at Purok Maloloy-on, Barangay Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur particularly near the Bureau of Fire Protection Station, followed by conflagration at San Pablo Central Elementary school building particularly at the back portion of the Grade 6 room were malfunction/defective Voting Counting Machines (VCM) and election paraphernalia were kept/place.

Personnel of San Pablo Fire Station immediately responded and able to suppressed the fire and declared fire out around 11:20 PM of same date.

However, one (1) VCM was burn out of eight (8) VCMs that were deposited in the said holding room. Seven (7) VCMs were immediately secured by responding policemen.

Further investigation revealed that the cause of fire was deliberately set with the use of gasoline based on the investigation conducted by the member of the Bureau of Fire Protection.

While the explosion was due to the detonation of one fragmentation

Stabbing Incident

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga del Sur (April 25, 2019) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok San Juan, Barangay Sagasan, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:00 midnight of April 23, 2019.

The victim was a 33 years old housewife named Marisan, a resident of Purok Makiangayon, Barangay Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was  by her husband identified as Reynaldo “Baldo” Maghuyop Amodia, 33 years old, male, Filipino, married, farmer, also a resident of the above mentioned place using a bolo.

The victim was hit at her left shoulder. Suspect was believed to be under the influence liquor. Victim was brought to Municipal Health Center of San Pablo for medication.

PNP personnel of san Pablo MPS responded and arrested the suspect. He is now detained in San Pablo MPs locked-up cell for proper disposition.

4 Hurt in Road Mishap

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga del Sur (April 10, 2019) - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at Purok Kabato-an, Barangay Mabuhay, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:30 PM of April 8, 2019.

Investigation disclose that the accident was involving one black Toyota Furtuner bearing plate number MAS 77 driven by Harry Bosarang, 28 years old and a resident of Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur, with three Passengers namely:

Prince Pamplona y Arado, 30 year old, jobless,

Lelia Pamplona y Arado, 70 years old, and

Van Pamplona y Arado, both resident Brgy Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur.

They were travelling from Brgy. Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur going to Pagadian City and upon reaching at Purok Kabato-an, Brgy. Mabuhay, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur particularly accidentally lost control that resulted to hit the Jack fruit tree and thrown into a road canal.

As a result the driver (Harry) and three Passengers sustained multiple body injury and were brought to Hofeliña Hospital located at Pagadian City for immediate medication.

The Toyota Fortuner incurred damages and was not brought to San Pablo MPS due to mechanical defect.

San Pablo MPS Anti-Illegal Logging Operation

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 23, 2019) – On February 22, 2019 at about 9:30 PM, PNP personnel of San Pablo Municipal Police Station conducted anti-illegal logging operation at Barangay Kundom, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the confiscation of more or less two hundred (200) pieces cut lumber with a total volume of 1250 board feet of Gemilena and Santol tree.

The caretaker of the lumber failed to present legal documents during the verification, while the owner of the lumber later identified as Ranelio Cañete, legal age, businessman, married, a resident of Barangay Poloyagan, Pagadian City.

Subject lumber is now under the custody of San Pablo MPS for proper disposition pending verification from CENRO.

Barangay Kagawad, 1 Other Arrested in Police Operation for Murder Charges

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Jan. 33, 2019) – Police operatives of San Pablo Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga Del Sur Police Provincial Office conducted police operation on wanted person at Purok 3, Barangay Kundom, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:00 PM of January 22, 2019

Police Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested as Julito Balatian y Eluran (Brgy Kagawad), 38 years old, married, a resident of Barangay Lumbayao, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur and Jovellar Neri y De Leon, 30 years old, farmer, married, a resident of Barangay Kundom, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The two accused were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder under criminal case number no. 14113-2K issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 19, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail recommended.

Security Guard Held for Violation of RA 10591

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga del Sur (Jan. 3, 2019) - The police operatives of Mahayag Municipal Police Station arrested the person of Eljohn Loyola Artiaga, 26 years old, single, school guard of Boniao National High School and resident of Purok 5, Brgy Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur on January 02, 2019 at about 7:30 PM.

Accordingly, Mahayag MPS received a phone call from Hon. Erlinda Tapere, Barangay Chairwoman of Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur informing that the suspect is creating trouble at his residence and armed with undetermined firearm.

Immediately, personnel of Mahayag MPS proceeded to the reported place of incident that resulted to the arrest of the suspect who failed to present legal documents authorizing him to carry such firearm.

Confiscated from his possession and control 1 unit revolver (undetermined caliber of firearm) loaded with 5 live ammunitions of caliber 38 and 357 and other 6 live ammunitions on the clutch bag.

Subject person is presently detained at Mahayag MPS, while appropriate case for violation of RA 10591 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”.is now being prepared for filing in court against the suspect..

Man Held for the crime of Sexual Abuse

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga del Sur (Jaan. 3, 3028) - The PNP personnel of San Pablo Municipal Police Station arrested the suspect identified as Noriel Pamboan Y Amolo, 22 years old, single and resident of Barangay Culasian, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur on January 2, 2019 at about 10:00 PM.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Sexual Abuse, docketed under criminal case number 14045-2K18, issued by Hon. Analyn Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City dated 23 October 2018 with bail bond recommended of (Php200,000) for his temporary liberty.
