MAHAYAG, Zamboanga del Sur (Jan. 3, 2019) - The police operatives of Mahayag Municipal Police Station arrested the person of Eljohn Loyola Artiaga, 26 years old, single, school guard of Boniao National High School and resident of Purok 5, Brgy Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur on January 02, 2019 at about 7:30 PM.
Accordingly, Mahayag MPS received a phone call from Hon. Erlinda Tapere, Barangay Chairwoman of Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur informing that the suspect is creating trouble at his residence and armed with undetermined firearm.
Immediately, personnel of Mahayag MPS proceeded to the reported place of incident that resulted to the arrest of the suspect who failed to present legal documents authorizing him to carry such firearm.
Confiscated from his possession and control 1 unit revolver (undetermined caliber of firearm) loaded with 5 live ammunitions of caliber 38 and 357 and other 6 live ammunitions on the clutch bag.
Subject person is presently detained at Mahayag MPS, while appropriate case for violation of RA 10591 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”.is now being prepared for filing in court against the suspect..
